I actually just laughed until I cried and almost peed myself.

And also disturbed me at a very deep level. The pumpkin massacre is horrific.

Kazehana, I am on a mission to find that Furikake and try it. I'm hoping they have it in the Japanese supermarket... Recommend any flavours?

Cinnamon Brown, thanks for the compliments on Drive! It was inspired by several things--sort of a combo of a bunch of different true stories from friends and family. I'm working on a sequel, but that's a tough one to write. Mentally exhausting?

Broke my fast this afternoon with cold cuts, and then later with popcorn (snuck a 100-cal bag into Let Me In), but I still kept the day under 500, so I guess that's not too bad. I didn't work out today, though. But I figure grocery shopping and wandering around the mall for an hour burned some calories, right? I have to tell myself that to keep from climbing the walls in effing anxiety. That's what happens when I don't work out: panic. I will automatically gain 5 lbs because I'm too fat to take a powerwalk. I MUST exercise every day--treadmill (at least 40 mins), powerwalk around the neighborhood (at least 1 hour), or go hiking (at least 90 minutes, with mountains).

I did not work out today, but that is okay. [::deep breaths::].

Let Me In was pretty awesome. Such a cute little love story!

Speaking of horror movies, what the heck is Dean Winters doing in an Allstate commercial??
They had Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal (box set) at Wal-Mart for $5.00. Seriously, how could I NOT buy it?! I love Anthony Hopkins. Even as a rather young child I loved him, because of Silence of the Lambs. That's what happens when you leave your 7-year-old unattended with a huge VHS collection and HBO--they watch things they should definitely not be watching, and I think that's what made me Evil from a young age. Because villains are friggin cool. Mummy wasn't exactly a good censor. Homicide was my favorite show when I was 9. We used to watch it together, and Law & Order. And she never cared what movies I saw. If Mum wanted to watch Basic Instinct, then she would bloody well watch it. Even with her 8-year-old  in the room.

Scarred for life. Sharon Stone still freaks me out.

  2. I can see that a sequel would be very draining indeed. I admire your willingness to do so regardless. You got moxy, M.!

That video is a very good cure for a smores craving, poor Steve! Hilarious!

You're so right about the Allstate ad. I'm trying not to be petty, but, as a woman I found it a little insulting! Perhaps Dean needed really the money!

My parents weren't big on censorship either. Guess they figured it was a good way to dodge the old 'birds and the bees' talk! Yikes!

As for Anthony, that Welsh accent gets me every time! Mmmm...! Grandad or not, hot still so hot! What is it about Northern Lads?!

  4. I don't think I could ever eat s'mores again! That's really quit nice how your folks let you watch whatever you wanted! I wish mine had been like that- they were the exact opposite, uber strict parents >.< I need to work out a lot more- and yes, walking does burn calories! The average person walks a mile in 20 minutes (at a leisurely pace) and each mile burns about 100 calories =)

Love "Law and Order"...and have gotten hooked on "Cold Case Files" re-runs lately...it makes me sad (what doesn't), but i watch it anyway...love the flashbacks and music.

  10. Oh Mich! That is so funny! Haha. I just read Drive from start to finish in about two hours. It's fucking amazing, you seriously have to get that published. I love it! It reminded me of Speak/Winter Girls. A sequal would be awesome. ♥

  12. I love law and order, along with NCIS, CSI, and all those other "investigative shows". Thankyou for the comment it's good to know someone cares :). And the only reason I have stamina for jogging is because I have fat for my body to burn. so don't be jealous :)

  14. Is "Let Me In" the american remake of "Let The Right One In"?

As for flavors, my personal favorite is Shiso Fumi Furikake because I like things that are salty/sour/bitter.

But there is Seto Fumi Furikake (which my mom likes) that is kind of sweet and savory, made with sea weed flakes and sesame seeds and junk.

My mom used to let me watch The Brothers Quay when I was in preschool. This is obviously why I'm fucked up. lol
