That thing was seriously the greatest phone ever. The battery lasted a week, and that was with me texting and playing on the internet all the time. It lasted three whole years before the inside screen started to go a bit funny. Then I got a Blackberry pearl, because it was pink. I had it for 24 hours before I couldn't take it anymore and went running back to the shop to return it. Then I got the EnV3, which was like the current version of the V. I went through 2 of those - both went spastic. Now I've got this thing:

I got it because it was purple, and a friend worked in the Verizon shop, so 'twas $150 less that what it should have been. But it has had multiple issues from the beginning, which included: a camera and photo gallery that are slower that Windows Vista, many many texting problems (not receiving them for 3 days, sending 5 copies of the same text to other people without my knowledge...), shutting itself off (I think ALL Verizon phones do this). And now it's just a total spaz. I can hear it in the kitchen right now, turning itself on and off over and over again.
Any of you lovely ladies in the US have a phone suggestion? I want a phone that has pretty good internet, but I don't want an iphone , a Crackberry, or a Droid. Anything else is cool.
So I was 100 lbs when I weighed myself this morning!! :D I'm not logging it in as official until the third weigh-in before bed. I've been good as far as cutting down on carbs. Yesterday I had 4 pieces of turkey bacon for breakfast (60), some roast beef cold cuts with mustard for lunch (60), a tuna salad for dinner (120), some lemonade (70), and 2 fiber bars (230). After adding in an estimate for all the Tums and a bit of turkey from Sis's sandwich, my daily total was like 550.
I have the palm pixi with verizon and love it :) I had it 4 months and love it :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 100! sooooooo jealous :)
And liquid fast sounds great :) Ill probably have to do that as well
I've had the iPhone for almost 3 years and it's wonderful. I have the 3G, but I may be upgrading to the iPhone 4. Not because I have a problem with the 3G, it's just that my screen cracked from wreckless dropping. But I've had it forever and never had a complaint about it. Although it's not verizon. If you want something worth your money I'd verizon, I would say one of the versions of the Droid. Great phone, my boyfriend has one and if I was on verizon, I'd probably have it.
ReplyDeleteLike Lilah Lee, I have a palm pixi that I like, only mine is on Sprint. Hope you can find a phone that fits your needs & doesn't break/go crazy/etc.
ReplyDeleteoh gosh I'm having phone issues too. Mine is currently sticky-taped together so it doesn't all fall apart ha. I'm waiting for the iPhone 4 to be delivered!
ReplyDelete100 pounds. WOW. can't wait till u can log it :D

ReplyDeletei love the very very very first envy i never had a proble with that
All my phones were made in asia. I feel like this automatically makes them durable? I'm racist like that. I had my kyocera lingo for nearly 2yrs before I dropped it one time too many and the screen detached from the lower keypad (didn't shatter, just popped off in a way that was impossible for me to fix on my own and it was cheaper to get my insurance to cover the replacement cost of a brand new one).
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm using a samsung R450 with the slide and qwerty keypad inside. it takes all those ridiculous fb pix I know you like and doubles as an mp3 player.
The statement I made before about trusting asian tech companies more than domestic is only partially racist. The other part is pure capitalistic free market logic.
American products are all designed on the principle of planned obsolescence. Meaning they want the product to break/become unusable within a certain span of time so they can force you to pay for a new/better version. They don't trust you to want this new version on your own, so they make you have to upgrade whether you want to or not by designing products with inherent flaws.
Japanese/Korean technology is designed to withstand a ton of abuse without failing because their market is different. Their products will generally continue to function well after you expect them to fail if you take care of them. So umm. This comment is lame. I'm done now?

ReplyDeleteis my fave hahah
get a blackberry!
OMG I got my phone because It's purple too! And I love it to death! I have the LG Lotus, its soo pretty, and I've dropped it a million times and it works like a charm.. just don't drop it in the ocean.. i did that to my first one.. and apparently sucking salt water from it wont make it work again... hmm lesson learned...
