Over that boy hand.

I GOT A JOB!

...
!!!!!!!

I start Friday. 9 to 5, working for an eccentric lawyer. He seems fun. Hopefully he'll be as fun as Previous Boss, who put up with me telling him off for making a mess in his office, booby trapping his stapler, and a constant stream of Lord of the Rings quotes, among other things.

Haven't weighed myself yet, but I've done well these past 2 days. Exercising like a mofo every morning (800 cals burned both days). Consumed 390 cals yesterday, and 750 today (too much-_-). I will be 95 lbs by Christmas. I WILL. >_<

I just made a big feckin mess on my desk.
Box of 50 cd's, and I knocked it the eff over. Because I'm a clumsy blonde. And because I have ocd, I shan't be able to rest until they are all back in the box in the correct numerical order. BOLLOCKS.

I'm currently trying to put some of that collection into itunes so it can then go into my ipod, but the laptop is not having any of it. I've got 16 days of music on there already. I think it might be taking up kind of a lot of hard drive space or something. There's another two box sets (Vivaldi and Haydn) that need to go on my ipod as well. I may have to wait for the new computer.

Speaking of classical music, I noticed today that Jeff Spurgeon has still not accepted my friend request on Facebook
There's no way to talk about this without sounding like a complete lunatic, so imma just forge on ahead...
I <3 Jeff. I have loved him for several years, and listen to him on the radio OBSESSIVELY every morning (5.30 am to 10 am). He's hilarious. I'm friends with a few of the other peeps from the radio station (WQXR--non-stop classical music), but for some reason Jeff will not accept. I've even poked him once or twice! Nothing. This makes me want to cry like a jilted lover.

.....yeah

Little Sis came out with a great quote this evening: "I love how you  have a poster of Pinhead next to Marilyn Monroe and Harry Potter, and you're just chillaxing on your antique sofa listening to classical music while sharpening a big-ass sword. And of course you're not wearing pants. YOU ARE INSANE."

I had to write that one down. I think it sums me up fairly well.
I never wear trousers in the house. I find them cumbersome.

  1. I enjoyed this very much. I too never wear pants around the house (and sometimes outside it) and will often run around in underwear and a t-shirt in the summertime (well, still in the house) :] And I am crazy jealous of how many calories you burned!!

  2. Congratulations on the new job!

Your photo/commentary just made me laugh out loud :)

Never fear, it was in the 40s and I only ran 3 miles so I doubt I'll be sick.

I'm sure we can all reach out Christmas goals. I'm trying to be less than 125 by the time Juan arrives (likely December 17th) - we can do it!

  4. Dude, I fucking love you. You are awesome.

And ditto with house-pants. "I'm done with pants", followed by a swift de-pantsing, is my homecoming routine. I wonder if it will negatively impact my child's development. Oh well, another thing to add to the list.

    Congrats on the job!

  6. A job? Far out, Mich! That's brilliant!

My room is just as bad, I can't even see my dressing table anymore. I have to hunt for deodorant and moisturizer under a pile of CRAP!!! WTF?

Good luck with your itunes. Thinking about putting together a workout compilation for my next post. Need to get my feckin' lazy arse into gear!

Love that sword! I always knew you were badass! And 'You don't need pants for the victory dance...'! <3 X.

Just don't get oilstains on the blanket when it's done, ok? I don't know how well that shit comes out of acrylic wool 0.0

  9. Congrats on the job! That is so cool.

Haha I rarely wear trousers in the house either. I'm a shorts or just pants with a baggy shirt and knee length socks type of girl.

Btw Potter + Monroe + pinhead? That confirms your amazingness! (Is that even a word?)

My computer is just the same with the amount of music on it. I'm contemplating buying a new computer with more space ;) haha.

  11. What type of sword is that? Rajput? I'm only familiar with the three we used in fencing and the ones pirates try to sell me at the Renaissance festival when I just want a necklace with a blade.

Also, MICHIRU! An embarrasingly large doujinshi collection under my bed attests to how awesome she and Haruka were.

  16. i agree wearing pants is the highest annoyance!
lol i love moments that are ironically contrasting. reminds me of looking that my bookshelf the other week. "The Bible" that i was reading next to stories of serial killers. one was called "101 people you wont meet in heaven."
Anyways yay for a job :)

  28. HI!!!
You made a vlog! You are pretty much how I imagined you to be (is that creepy?).
Your boss sounds similar to my old boss. I want a new one like that. Congratulations on the job!
That photo is particularly epic. It should definately be put on the pile of "Photos to show the grankids".
I'm finally getting into Harry Potter, and I'm quite sad that it's taken me so long.
Desks. Phhft. Desks are meant to be disaster areas. If they weren't, then people would probably be a lot more productive, and productivity is highly overrated.
