I got 99 problems, all of them goblins

I've discovered a lot of new music lately on Spotify, so I thought I'd share of them.

THIS BAND is fanbloodytastic. Here's a fun little tune about playing Dungeons and Dragons:

Tyler Jakes, another new fav:

The Basement Saints. iTunes has them listed as a jam band, and I find that somewhat offensive because they are most certainly not.

Coach 'n Commando. He's not exactly a new discovery, but I don't think I've mentioned him before and he most definitely deserves mentioning.

Wardruna. Some very nice Viking music.

One more--Black River Delta. I don't want to be crashing everyone's computers with too many videos on one page.

Enjoy! Buy their music from their websites if you like them.

  2. I've been really bad about visiting/commenting on your blog, and no one who has commented on my last post even bothered to play the one song I posted (I'm not even sure if it's visible cause I've heard no feedback. . and so I played all five songs you’ve posted here. Here are my thoughts:

Dungeon Hustle is awesome. I don’t play D&D but the in-laws do, so I sorta got the references (I also enjoyed the rap references) You’re right – this band rocks, and the singer is damn good. Love the organ, too. Makes it stand out a little more.

The Wolf is …different. Not my thing, but I dig the sax. Perhaps I’ll play it again when it gets closer to Halloween.

I swear I’ve heard that Basement Saints song before. Or maybe another song of theirs. But they sound so bloody familiar. And that lyric “'cause our country's ruled by corrupted racists And our president is a non-schooled rapist” holy shit that’s dead-on. Wait... when did that song come out?

Louisiana Dirt...I had high hopes for this song at the outset, but the singer sounds a little too scratchy when he tries for those high notes. I think I’d like it better if it were a ballad, his voice can be haunting if he keeps it low.

Wardruna... this might be my favorite of the lot. The drums are so good, and I love the feel of the song. I should listen to more music like this. The only thing I have in my collection that’s even close is Sigur Ros.

And finally, Black River Delta. Didn’t think I’d like this one, but it sorta grew on me. The guitars are good.

I definitely think I’ll give the first and fifth tracks another spin. Perhaps I’ll download them eventually.

  4. MICH WHAT IS THIS

i love how your music for me falls into the category "that's good music, really different, catchy, smooth and interesting but i can't imagine sitting here and listening to it every day." but just to say your taste in music is 100%.

i don't know why but one word particularly comes into mind: your music is COOL.

    like seriously. it is.

God, i wonder how a music post of mine would be like. though i wouldn't really do a music post, mostly a few lyrics from a song i REALLY like. and by a few lyrics, i mean like the whole chorus... i'm not helping, am i?
