The closest I came to checking it out was after one of your old posts where I learned Christopher Meloni had played a remarkably *different* sort of character from SVU's Stabler.

Yes, I thought it was a great show. I'm Male, 41, I saw it when it was new on HBO, what is that... 15 years ago? Very interesting show about how environment shapes & reshapes people.

ReplyDeleteI first heard about it in grade 10 science class when some girls were talking about the ass rape scene (Adabiesi doing Shebeta) and then started to watch it... not to see man on man ass sex, but cause I wanted to see a harsh nitty gritty show! It was 1998 and Showcase (in Canada) was showing the second season. I was sixteen at the time, and I am a man!!
Thanks to the miracle of satellite tv, we actually get HBO here in Saffa-land! I've seen Oz and it scared the bejesus out of me! So, that's a 'no' from me. I think it's more your kind of thing, love. Hope you get the money! :) ♥♥♥

Nothing sends me into a rage faster than: I LOVE a show, and I want to discuss the show with someone and they are a smug mother fucker and say "I haven't seen it" WORSE if they say "I don't watch tv" OH GODDDDDDDDDDD I hate that the worst!

Is that still on? I watched it a bit a few years back - maybe four or five episodes - and I thought it was OK. I didn't go out of my way to catch it, but when it was on, I enjoyed it.

ReplyDeleteFemale, early 30s. I got it out on DVD to watch while husband worked away. Got hooked pretty quickly. I don't think it was ever shown on tv here in Australia (but I could be wrong)

I've never seen it - I'm not sure we have it over here, or if we do it's on channels on the telebox that I've never had. If I ever do get to see it, I'll let you know how old I am when I start liking it :P
