A quickie for Sam Lupin...

I've been really slacking as far as artwork goes. That's what happens when you have too many hobbies, I guess. Between actual work and being part of the band at church, I tend to spend most of my extremely limited free time sitting and doing absolutely nothing.

But I've got a couple pictures in progress. And I promised Sam Lupin a preview.

That is The Burrow (the Weasley family's house, from Harry Potter) so far. I apologize in advance for the background--I never did learn how to perspective, despite the efforts of a number of increasingly aggravated college professors.

Any request for the colour of your fence? I cannot decide....

  1. Came in from Liz. Nice picture as for fence I could leave it as is. Or maybe a few rails making in psychedelic.
If you fine the time stop over for a cup of coffee.

  5. An old faded color, yellow tint. Like its older and been in the sun, etc...
Asked two others. One said yellow, one happen to say a faded old yellow tint.

  6. The perspective is perfect. It has a charm to it that would not exist in a photographic-quality drawing.

I love it. I have never read nor viewed Harry potter stuff, but I love it nonetheless.

  7. I want to make a joke about a quickie with Sam, but I shall resist :P

That is so cool! I'm constantly blown away by your talent. I've always wished I could draw. I'm do a little sketching/designing for my sewing these days, but even then, a lot of it's copied or traced from patterns and I just add the little changes I want to make.

Re: "And stupid me then went out and adopted not one, but TWO cats. So I can do that all over again twice."
I really feel you on this one. After Silky passed, I decided I'd never be able to get another pet. If I got another dog, it would have to be before Billy went, although mum's not so keen on the idea. Yes, they give a lot of joy, but I can't stand the thought of repeating the loss over and over again.

  8. Perspective? Pfff! Looks fine to me, I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't mentioned it.

    I love it!

  10. It looks pretty good. I don't think I could ever grasp the concept of perspective myself. I don't have many hobbies but I too find myself sitting and doing nothing when free time finally happens for me.

  13. I think it looks great!!! As a non-artist and therefore incapable of drawing a straight line, I am super impressed.
